Selling my car, but I need some opinions first.

This isn't a for sale thread, so please don't tow it anywhere.

I have decided it's time to part with my e36, but before I post it up for sale I need to know how you guys would respond if you saw the ad presented to you. I want to keep my Fikses. I don't have other wheels (at the moment) to throw on the car in the meantime. If I posted an ad and said: "wheels aren't included, I can throw on 16" basket weaves or bring your own wheels." How much hatred would I invoke?

I really don't want to include the wheels because they will be kept for the next car that I acquire. However, I know it's really frustrating when people have ads up that look really great but then they disclose that the cool wheels aren't included. So in effort to not be "that guy", I need your thoughts.

I dont see an issue with that. I feel like 75% of the cars I see for sale with nice 3 piece wheels like yours say they are not included and all of the pictures show them.

What are you replacing the car with?

I personally can't stand that, to me it just comes off as lazy. In my mind, if you are too lazy to actually present the car that I will be buying what else are you being lazy about?

There has to be some E36 wheels on craigslist for $200 that you can slap on there.

As long as the thumbnail, or whatever the main picture for the ad is, depicts the car without the wheels, I don't mind if they add some other pics with a note later on.

Mmm ok. That's the problem, I don't want to come across as lazy because it's far from the case. You should see the list of everything and the stack of booklets.. I will probably put the 16" basketweaves on there or just pick up something similar to those e46 wheels. I don't want the car to look to mundane because it's built for the street. If anyone is interested in seeing the list of everything let me know.

I bought a Buell Xb12scg a month ago, I'm just going to put the money into that so I don't have any loans.. I probably won't be replacing the car with something else anytime soon though.

You ended up with my old Fikse wheels - I sold them to Brent a few years ago. Miss them a lot.

My advice, buy a cheap set of 17" Style 5s. Those wheels will basically sell any car, even though they are probably the most overplayed wheel around. They do look nice on e36s, though.

AH! Finally I can get some info on these things. Brent is a cool guy. His shop is pretty amazing. PM me with any specs you know about them, I'm curious to see what offset and what parts you used.

I'll flag your for sale ad as soon as I see it haha. I'd list the total price you would take with the car AND the Fikse's, even if you know you won't get it. Then list another price without them. I'll still flag your ad.
