So you guys that's are using the euro expansion tank. How are you mounting this bracket? Does it have to be welded on or does it bolt on to hold the expansion tank.
Or can I make my own? It's $67 at the dealer and has to be shipped from Germany

did you get the back end bracket too?
what i did was put the back end bracket on... (it slips on).. then attached the front end (the one you posted) on to the tank, made sure it was level and not too high for the hood to shut, then mark the area where it needs to go. then i put 2 tack welds on each end, then tack welded the back end bracket to the fire wall. i think i have a pic of it on my phone, i'll try and log in on my phone so i can post it..

So little update but not to do with the swap. Although I did just get the expansion tank parts in from BMW.
Picked up these seats today. Left at 7am and did a 650km round trip picking them up.

yes it takes its place... it includes the new holder for the diagnostic port, a quick drill out should take care of it.. i think its held in with 2 tack welds

Removed the old dove interior and installed back door cards and these mrain seats today. Also put in full black carpet, dropped it off at the carpet cleaners so it was nice and fresh.

Seats are in great shape. Rears too? Where did you get them from thats within driving distance from Edmonton? Pretty uncommon to find anything other than diesel truck parts haha.
