Hi All,
More questions as a newcomer to E32 ownership. My big nagging question is about tires. The selection from Tire Rack seems pretty poor for 225/60 R15 tires these days. I have seen a few E32s with correctly sized Michelin All Seasons but cannot find them anywhere for sale. What is everyone doing? I was thinking I may upgrade the wheels to 16" or 17" but I like the Style 7s and I will be driving the car in urban/suburban areas that have less than smooth roads (NYC/Tri-State).
Thanks!
Wade
I am presently using 225/60/15 Minerva Emi Zero

Thanks, Shogun! It looks like those may not be available stateside. The offerings from Cooper and Kumho seem like the best choices. I ran into similar issues with the 15" wheels on my Porsche 944 so this is, unfortunately, not unfamiliar ground.

The Michelin website doesn't even list this size.
I'm using Fuzion 225/60/15 which you can find at Tire Rack. The tires are quite brown (blooming) and have been like this from Day 1. However, I don't know whether that's a problem with this brand or just my set of wheels.
Coker and universaltire.com have BF Goodrich. However, the lettering doesn't really fit a E32.
Just for the heck of it, I checked some places in Germany. There's a bigger selection there.

use the Minerva dealer finder, in Canada you have a lot http://minervatires.com/find-a-dealer/?find=montreal
I got the Minerva here in Japan for abt. $35/tire shipped from an online shop, they are quite popular here and also in Europe among the cheaper tires, for example in Germany also EURO 33.30 https://www.tooreifen.com/low-cost-r...n-m606440.html
Before I had Falken 225/60/15.
@kce: when Ralf and Christian visited me here last year we drove with the 750 about 600 kms into the mountains, as R. wanted to see the Alpina 2 x B12 there, he even asked me while driving which tires I use as it seemed to him vey quiet compared to his E32.
According to the EU tire label: fuel consumption: C, wet performance: C, noise level 71 dB = just above average https://www.tirendo.de/minerva-emize...-r-309493.html

Uniroyal Tiger Paws. Price is right.
Not even fair! I saw a very similar car to mine with proper sized Michelin Green-X A/S tires on a car lot for sale. It was night and I could not find a date code easily so who knows how old they actually were. I would love tires that have a brand be-fitting BMW, like Conti or Michelin. I have Bridgestone Potenza A/S on my E39 and they have the right look and feel for the car.
I will have to do some reading. The Kumho A/S that are on my car now are done but the snow tires go on this weekend and that gives me time to decide. Good to know that you are so happy with them!
They seem like the upper-end of the price range I am seeing. Where did you buy them from?

I could not find a 225/60/15 Michelin anywhere. I have a friend that manages a Discount Tire and no can do.
Michelin MXV4 Energy in either H or V rating and then MXV4 Primacy H or V rating used to be the best tires for our cars.....and they were easy to find everywhere. Even in a local Tire Kingdom store. Everybody had them. About three years ago they just disappeared. I changed to a 17 inch wheel and I'm really happy with my Pirelli Cinturato P7's. Great soft riding tire and really good in rain.
