It seems that for some strange reason no tire shops in Canada carry 255 40 17 winter tires. I need a pair. There are plenty in Europe, so would anyone be able to reship two to me (at my expense of course) if I have them shipped to you?
Really intending to brave a Canadian winter on 40 series tires? Me thinks those Canuck tire shops are wise.
Anyway, good luck, here you go;

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
Thanks, but I called and they're actually out of stock. It isn't a great tire in terms of handling anyways, which is my main concern. We barely get any snow, just cold and dry. I ran 35 winters on my E39, and never had problems as I drive 90% highway. I have another car for snowbound trips.
Ended up getting a new set of wheels and square 235/45/17 tires.
Sorry I hadn't see this I would have helped...probably next time. cheers
