    97 m3 tire problem

I’m having problems finding tires on my 97 m3 I have to run 225/45-17 in the front and 245/40-17 on the rear every shop I call has the 225 and doesn’t have the 245 could I just mount 225/45s all around?

Yes, you can, but the tire will look slightly stretched on the rear wheel. It is wider than the front.

There are many tires available for the staggered fitment on these cars; however. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...earDiameter=17. I would personally not recommend going narrower on the rear...

You can find anything you want on www.tirerack.com .

They'll ship to any shop and it only takes a couple days at most.

I'd suggest looking into the same size front and rear - either a 235 or a 245 all around. Our car responds well to a square tire setup, helps it feel a little more balanced (dials out some understeer).

Those two tire sizes are very common. It makes no sense that you can't find a tire shop with them in stock or can get them in stock under 24 hours.

This. Perhaps they can't find the tire Make and Model you want in those sizes, but even then that's quite odd as they're pretty common sizes.
