I bought the car and couldn't be happier, thanks guys for all the good helpful information. Hired a place who works on BMW and did a PPI.
Results were excellent, guy couldn't believe how excellent everything was.

Hello!
$9k seems a bit high still to me.
I would price it out on kbb, edmund's TMV, etc and see what values come up?
Service records? get it evaluated by local shop.
Unless you know the guy personally you have zero idea of what may need done.
Getting it from a dealership, carfax shows one owner and all the services has been done since new.
KBB, edmunds shows top price should be $8K in excellent condition.
52K miles 1 orig.owner very clean but i don't understand how and what to look for,
should i hire a mechanic to check it for me or take dealers words and see myself whatever i can see/understand.
KBB, Edmunds shows price should be $8K top in excellent condition.
Buying from a dealership and they are saying passed all 100+ points inspection but who knows what is that mean.
I love it bcs it's a stick shift (you don't have to worry big transmission problem repair if occurs) and i love bcs 1 owner since new.
Should i just go drive it and if i like it take it or bring some other parties (who) to check the vehicle for me.
$9k is crazy high for a 2.5 IMO
Why spend so much money on a low mile version of that car? It will do nothing but depreciate like a rock under your ownership. If the logic is because a higher mileage car will cost more to maintain, consider the depreciation hit you will be taking on a 52K mile car if you drive it (also consider it's not a collectible car, will never go up in value). Plus cars with such low miles have not been driven, when cars are driven things break and are replaced. A car at 52K miles is still 14 years old, only the rubber hasn't been replaced due to mileage, instead, it has all just dry rotted. But it is low mileage dry rotted rubber... you will still spend a lot of money maintaining a 52K mile car...
No point. Spend less money on a higher mile 2.5 or take that $9k and find a 3.0si
It sounds like you already made up your mind to buy it...
Remember a dealer is not there to help you. 100 point inspection means nothing, there is no warranty or guarantee with it. You are getting ripped off IMO... dealerships just take cars from craigslist and add markup. Better off just buying a car on craigslist and saving the $$

If your mind is pretty much set on this vehicle,
A pre-purchase inspection performed by a qualified BMW mechanic is highly recommended.
A complete set of service records can help estimate future needed maintenance and costs.
Well, you really changed my mind.
Thank you very much, really. You made many good points.I'm glad i asked.
They had another one 2008 with 70k miles asking $16K but didn't pay much attention bcs i was set for under #10K
I will put on hold and just wait and look elsewhere this point.
I hired BMW specialist shop to do inspection for me and results came better than expected in every way. I'm so happy i didn't pass on this one owner vehicle. Almost 14 years they put on 50K miles. I hope i will have good luck with it.
I paid $250 to shop for inspection and i think it's well worth it. Tomorrow is a big day !!! Picking the car up. It has 4 brand new tires on even shop noticed saying maybe has 1000 miles on them, Bridgestone Potenza RE050 RFT.
I have been reading that these tires very expensive and they are not great riding tires anyway, i know no spare tire for flat but should i change these to more comfy ones?

If you're looking for comfort, try the Bridgestone Driveguard "as they are the best riding run flat tire by a wide margin" according to Jim@TireRack.
If you prefer a non-runflat tire, and are looking for all-season performance, I recommend Continental Extreme DWS-06
Very happy with the purchase so far, it has a premium package and convenience package. Love the ride.

Congratulations! Looks great and enjoy the ride.
I bought a 2.5, 2003, Z4, from a private owner, considerably less. 55,000 miles, I'm the 3rd owner. I didn't know much about the Z4's before I bought it. Knowing what I know now, I wish it was a 3.0 but the stars didn't line up that way. I didn't look for a car, it just kinda fell into my lap.
My situation was similar, i didn't know much about Z4 either. After driving it was hooked.
Be honest, i think plenty of power in 2.5, i never felt is under power. Really pleasure to drive.
I'm very happy with the condition and everything else with this vehicle A+A+A+.
All the manual, little handbook and original window sticker from manufacturer ($41K price tag on it) included in new condition also.
Good luck to you too ENJOY!

I wish I had done a mechanical inspection on mine. I might could have got it for a lesser amount. I discovered my tires are 8 years old, though they look brand new. I am replacing them with the staggered wheel package that comes on the 3.0. I don't feel like it's underpowered either. I have never driven the 3.0 , so I have no way to compare the two. I am happy with what I have, Sapphire Black Metallic in good condition and the tan interior.
You have to post some pictures, have to!
So tires are not being used but 8 years old, is there a rule or something that after certain years they can go bad even they are not being used?
Yes, about 8 years is actually the threshold. I won't run any older than 6 but that's because my climate is very extreme and tires dry rot quickly here. 8-10 years is max elsewhere in the world.

I have a set of 18's with 107 wheels that I'm putting on. I only use the car now and then for joy rides. I do worry about the tires though, even if they do look new. I plan to keep one at least as a spare, get me home tire.
How can we tell when purchasing tires that they are new and recently produced.
We think when purchasing new it's all good but they might be on shelf 3-5 years already.
Is there a mark production date or expiration date on tires?

Salacak, here is the information you requested:https://www.tirebuyer.com/education/...-of-your-tires
Great information, very helpful.
Thanks
Happy to help.
Btw, your vehicle looks to be in great condition!
The 2.5 is more than enough for me also.
I've driven the 3.0 version only on test drives while car shopping,
and I didn't experience a noticeable difference, though I'm sure a z4 m would be.
My tires from 2009 Bridgestone Potenza RE050 RFT . They (original owner) replaced these tires and drove around 1000 miles in 6-7 years.
So now, because of the age, i have to replace them right? Doesn't matter how new they look?
Secondly i have been reading how horrible the rides are with RFT so this might be okay with me because i was thinking to change them anyway.
Most likely i will end up getting Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3.
Plus flat tire repair kit in the trunk is, way to go.
