I had to make some spacers for my ls1 e36 318is. I don't know if the fuel pump hanger is different for other, bigger engine e36's, but here's a gallery of what I did to hopefully help out someone else.

Thanks -- and that pump is what, the Walbro?
If God meant for man to motor-swap LS engines into track cars, He wouldn't have created Corvettes.

With DC voltage boost boards going for $12, I'm thinking I might just try raising the stock pump input voltage 15-20% and see what I get.

I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was!

Doing motor swaps, I tend to get used to the idea that anything will take a long patch of fiddling, welding, grinding, a trip to the hardware store, more welding.

This was done and dusted in an hour.

In my E36 Rally Road 255 pump worked great and no problem install.

What the heck did you install a 485lph pump on a 200hp motor for? Even a 255 would be total over kill. A stock pump would power a 302 just fine.

Dropped my car off at the tuner this morning. They will not proceed until the pump is upgraded. Cammed and good heads on a 6.0 LS here, just an FYI.

I also need injectors and o2 sensors.

Running low on pressure with fuel is no fun. On the dyno, it may even do one thing and on the street/drags will be less capable. I used an Aeromotive 340 kit. Works as advertised after I connected the hoses properly. That ruined one drag visit.
