Installing Original angle eyes on bmw 2006 318i

Hi I am trying to install original angle eyes headlights(Halogen) with xenon (removed from another BMW original) on my 2006 BMW 318i e90 non angle eyes, however its not working properly or giving me headlights down error, sometimes high beams working, rings are working but not low beams. Any advice what I need to do further please to make them working properly.
FRM re-coding or I can get light module from the same car from where angle eyes were taken or any other part I can get from this cars as its in some Junkyard. Please advice. Thank you

    Regards

Well this is the E-46 Forum, so you won't find too many plp here to help.

What did you are come with originally? If it was Halogens then you will need to re-code the LCM to get those HID's to work properly.

Thanks, yes they are halogens, if I get the LCM from the same car from which Headlights are taken would it work without coding or still it needs ? Thanks

I would think they still need to be codes as the VIN's will not match.

So the better thing to do is keep your original one in, and just have it coded for HID's.

Thanks Dworthy, Yes I tried with original LCM almost same issue, so will go to the dealer and pay them some money for coding.

Sounds like a plan. I of course would install the lights, and let them know what you did so they can just change the LCM from halogen to HID's. This will fix the high beam issues, and they can also turn the angle eyes on for daytime running lights.
