hey guys...
well who would have thought that something so simple is so much fun!
i just put in a clutch stop( thanks martin: ), and i love it. the stock clutch travel on the e36 is soooo lengthy...the clutch stop makes the shifts so much quicker...and it gives a more sporty feel too:
next up: m3 shifter...should go nicely with it
just wanted to let you know that if you haven't made a clutch stop and you love to drive....then what are you waiting for? DO IT!

clutchstop: it can cost anywhere from 30 cents to $30 bucks.
Depends on how "hi tech" you wanna go.
It's basically a device that "stops" your clutch movement.
The clutch on an e36 has a "lengthy" travel. Way past the point where the clutch actually "engages"
Some people hate that, so they install something that stops the clutch pedal from traveling so far. They usually adjust it to the point where the clutch just engages so as to speed up the shifts.
to install basically you just pull the original one out...on the floor behind the clutch with a rubber cap on it...and replace it with a longer bolt which stops the clutch from traveling so far. just make sure you can press the clutch down far enough to engage
i don't remember the bolt size though....just try a search on clutch stops or maybe elevator bolts.:
