Hi folks! Need your help.
So I came back from the gym a few weeks ago, parked the car in the driveway and all was good.
Next morning tried to start it but it would not start, only cranked.
Scanned for codes, got a P1349, misfire in cylinder 4.
So I replaced all of the spark plugs (with NGK) and also installed new Bremi ignition coils (with boots).
Still would not start.
So then I did some research and after some diagnostic tests for fuel pump, I installed a new fuel pump (Delphi).
Still would not start.
My neighbor was around and suggested I floor the gas pedal and try to start the car.
Did that and it cranked and turned on! But after letting it idle for about 6/7 mins, it just shut off on its own.
Now back to cranking and not starting.
In some tries, it "kind of" starts and then turns off after a few seconds.
Tried to scan for codes but nothing.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
The following lights are on since this start problem:
Service Engine Soon light, the battery light, and an oil lamp looking light.
There's about a quarter tank of fuel in the car. Oil change was done a while ago, although not recently.
Side note: I replaced the water pump, water pump pulley, fan clutch, and did a coolant flush about a month ago. The car was running fine and there are no leaks or coolant problems in sight.
Info on car:
2001 BMW X5 (E53)
130,000K miles
Thanks in advance!
Bikram
Look at my post. Try a new fuel relay.
