How do you guys take gas to the track? I have 5 - 5gal VP Racing fuel jugs but they are little to tall to fit in the bed of the pickup with the tonneau cover on. I go thru about 20 -25 gallons a day, so I would need to refill them each night. Thoughts?

Isn’t there track gas?

The stripped out trunk works perfect.
Maybe rethink the cover? Get one of the folding ones?
Or you could buy one of the gas caddy ordeals. They are normally 20-25 gallon units and you could lay it down. Not a cheap item though.
Back into a BMW, this time a track rat....and it won't be BMW powered and no, not a V8 either!
Couldn't help myself, boosted e36 m52 street car in progress also!
Look around for cans that are not quite as tall. Thats what I had to do, and eventually found some that are lower and broader, and they fit ... just!
Don't know your price range but I have 1 of these (you would need 2, I guess): https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...5161_200325161
I was looking at those. It has mixed reviews. How is the flow rate? Do you leave it in the bed of the truck when filling it at the gas station? Does it have to be higher than the gas fill on the car to work when filling the car?
thanks

Any idea what brand and how tall the cans you got are?

Mount a fuel jug carrier on the trailer

My gas cans are too tall if the nozzle is on them but they fit fine without the hose. Try just the cap?
I use the VP jugs and toss them in the bed, no cover though. When I was towing with an SUV I strapped them down to the open trailer. I had a tire rack on the front so it gave them some support. I believe there are some places where you can get frames that bolt to the trailer to hold the VP jugs as well, my shop landlord has them on the front of his enclosed trailer.
FYI, VP jugs aren't EPA/DOT compliant. Keep them under cover. I know someone who got hassled recently...
