    Would this work on a 1999 528 with the MID radio and Cassette? Would it just be a plug and play or I have to do some modification to the wire harness?

    I'm not too knowledgeable about this stuff but my basic research says you'll need to run a whole new wiring harness (from trunk to head unit) so it would probably not be worth your time/money when you could retrofit something more modern.
