Sunday Nov 12 - Bear Mountain Meet - 1000am

Hey guys, setting up what can be considered a final meet for the year. This pending the weather is good (no rain date). It will be chilly so bundle up.


Planning to meet on the Van Wyck Service Road just past 20th Ave so we can get on the highway to the Hutchinson, Cross Bronx, Thruway and Palisades.


Departure from Queens: 0845
Eta at Hessian Lake parking: 1000


Times setup early to beat traffic and so we can enjoy the day. Feel free to take any routes you wish to the parking lot in the pic below. Great roads in Bear Mountain and you also have Storm King Mountain - Route 218 just north with half of the roads repaved. It is a road I HIGHLY recommend driving on. As you are heading north you can exit to a turnaround at the end and head back south.

they repaved about half of storm king which is great.

Sounds like a nice cruise. Are you planning any stops along the way to pick up people? Not sure if I can make it yet, but I would be coming out of Stamford and Queens is a bit out of the way.

Should be interesting if 2 separate car groups are going up on the same day. Maybe you guys can plan it together...
