Best OBDII reader for e39/other bmws?

When i say best I don't mean a "state-of-the-art" couple thousand dollar piece of equipment.
Just needs to be able to pull up a majority if not all fault codes. Look to spend within the $100-250 range. (Unless $300 gives me state-of-the-art)

There are a bunch depending on what you have available:

    Basic handheld: $60 Creator 110/310.

Advanced handheld: $200 Schwaben/Foxwell 510 (ECS is a site sponsor iirc)

Bluetooth: don’t know but the Carly would work for most (doesn’t work for 03 540 though)
There are others but I don’t know them

Advanced requiring laptop: INPA, PASoft, etc. $15-100 depending on how legal you go with it.

Search for each and see what works for you.

The Schwaben BMW scan tool is very very handy, it's not going to allow some of the car customization that you can do with INPA/PAsoft/etc but it'll allow in-depth system scans that pull factory code sets not generic p codes and system resetting.
