    A local 535 FS @ craigslist

Notice anything funny about the lead picture?
Last picture proves we all have different standards of cleanliness.

That handbrake leather boot is disgusting! There seem to be a huge panel gap on the driver's door on the first picture.

Actually that gap is probably only a mm. or so. Keep looking at that first picture

Okay here some notable things I've seen:

    1. Euro plate holder
    2. Euro bumper trim
    3. It seems to have a seat twist problem on the driver seat (judging from the angle of the headrest)
    4. The Style 5 wheels are in almost pristine condition as opposed to other picture
    5. The picture has 2 watermarks. One says "ACSCHNITZER" the other one starts with an "M" but I can't make it out.

The lights looked funny to me too, like four ellipsoids.
I knew it was fishy but didn't recognize it as a toy until an image search of my own.
I wonder if the model has the real car's filth?

Good catch on the 1/8 scale model picture insertion, I thought the color looked a bit off and the pronounced rounded corners on the door & hood gaps. No telling what condition the actual car exterior is in. Maybe the weather was too nasty for him to take more pictures . . . or he doesn't wan't to disclose defects . . . ??

I always keep on the lookout for a fairly clean 535i with relatively low miles with a blown automatic. I have everything for yet another manual swap except the flywheel & clutch kit.

Well that's the most expensive die-cast I've seen!

You might be on to something here. Apart from the die-cast pic, he only has one exterior shot and it's not even wide angle.

I'd be happy to look it over for you but suspect there are far better examples in your part of the country. Interiors fare better here though.
Let me know if serious I'll go see it.

Yea, the door gap gave it away, then I noticed the texture on the driveway was way too large...

Interior looks nice still, seats are not ripped, just needs cleaning.

The one corner of the actual car we see the paint looks good.

If the trans works in Sport or Manual mode, but does not engage in Drive it may just be a valve body problem and a quick fix. Or its a gonner and he's not telling the truth. For $2k maybe a little much for a non-driving car, but overall looks good for its age. Not a fan of green...do they even make green cars anymore, other than the British cars?

    Sundry old Grrrrmans
The model is more of a BRG than Oxford; much better than Oxford, in other words. Hilarious!

Why take a zoomed-in picture of the heated seat button and handbrake when they are a garbage bin? Did the owner think the presence of (I'm sure no longer functioning) heated seats would hide the trash condition?
