    What does this mean...?

I fixed the radiator drain plug leak, purged the air out of the system (finally) and driving the roadie again, but now I have the Traction Control light lit up on the cluster.

Checked the codes with the INPA program and get this error:

    Capture1.PNG

Cleared the error, but it comes right back on.
Also, while checking the errors, something (mechanical) moves in the throttle area.

Is this related to the throttle position sensor?

If so, is it hard to replace?

When I'm back at my computer, I will look up the error in the original German. It may be a difficult (automatic) translation.
It would seem this is an error in the secondary throttle body. Unsure until I check.

If your car is an S-52 (maybe M-52s do it too?) then it's supposed to do that. The DME sends out a signal to check 0%-100% for function and feedback of the ASC throttle (normally open, closes upon loss of rear wheel traction, inhibiting engine power).

One easy check, is to see if the cable that pulls on it is out of its half moon track, or the connector ferrule is broken__very fragile.

As Derek would say "fix it until it's broken"

Wow...could it really be this simple...and are these machines that sensitive?

i started looking for the throttle position switch, and saw this cable out of its "run".

I put it In the plastic run and the traction control light went off.

For or full disclosure, I also unplugged the wires into the throttle position switch and plugged them back in...

anyway, the light is out and all is good!

You nailed it Randy! Cable was out of the half moon track. Repositioned it, started her up, and the traction control light went out.

    Thanks,

    greg
