    Brake job

Well today is the day going to tackle the job of changing front a rear pads and rotors. Can't take the brake dust anymore. So I got a GREAT deal on brembo ceramic pads and a local company started making rotors for the E60 series so I gave them a shot. Nothing wrong with keeping local business around. Got a great deal on slotted not drilled rotors. Life time warranty aswell. SP PERFORMANCE from Simsbury CT....

Is the local company making or selling the rotors?

Selling. I'm sure they don't make them. But I could be wrong.

I’ll be ordering rotors, pads, and sensors in the next week myself. Decided on https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...4116864906ktf1

I went with Zimmerman rotors and Hawk Red pads, but that kit is a winner. FCP Euro is great, and the lifetime warranty is for real.

That life time warranty is amazing. I use it for my oil filters with them...

That is funny -- lifetime warranty on an oil filter when there is no expectation for the filter to last past the next oil change. If FCP is giving away oil filters, you should buy your fluids from them and send back the old fluid when you change it.

Funny or not you can. BUT you have to pay for shipping. BUT in my case it works out great because they are a 20min drive from my house. Yes I have done it and yes they have given me new filter at no cost. I always have 2 filters on hand. I change my filter every 2500 miles and my oil every 5000 miles. The filters are free now so it really doesn't bother me.
