    P codes

I recently replaced the DISA Valve, Exhaust Camshaft Sensor, the O Ring on my Vanos and things were running just OK, then I replaced the intake camshaft sensor and I received a code P0340. The car runs fine on the drive to work and the drive home, . After I shut it off and go in the house for a moment I come back out and the next drive it occasionally dies when I come to a stop, other times the RPM drops to zero then recovers quickly...not sure what the issue is at this point. Any suggestions?

Is that an aftermarket sensor, or a real honest-to-goodness replacement purchased across the counter at a BMW dealership?

Put your old one back in and see if it reacts the same way (and what's the origin of the one you took out?).
