    E36 coupe yakima roof rack.

    Hey all,

Selling my yakima roof rack as the car will no longer head up to whistler. Holds 4 boards, I don't know how many skis since I'm not 50 years old, but I'd assume enough for a car load as well.
All parts function as they should except the locks on the clamps. They clamp as they should and are sturdy, but a piece of the locks are cracked so they can be opened as normal all the time. 100% safe to drive with, but a roll of the dice to park with the boards. Bought it like this and rolled the dice lots.:slap:
As anyone who has looked knows, racks for the coupe are very hard to come by.
The only sticker still on it is the yakima sticker. I'll get close up photos later if anyone is interested.
    Looking for $250.

sent you one back, and just to clarify for anyone else reading.
The locks on the rack mounts that attach the rack to the car are fully functional, its just the locks on the board clamps that aren't.

If you got a moment to assist me with my current Yakima roof rack I would appreciate it! I got a 92 325is and it’s the a tower version. It came with the q70 clips but I can not get it to mount correctly I was wondering if you had any pointers! I’ve looked so long but can’t find much !

Super weird that it says I won't accept PMs.
You will need to slide the feet inward/outward so the clips are the right distance when clamped down. Too far out and the hooks will push onto the roof edge moulding and lift the rack off the roof. Too far inward and they will not be able to reach the lip they hook onto. Make sure to cover the hooks with some sort of soft film to avoid damage to your paint and roof edge moulding.

Okay thanks for the info. These things are not easy when there was no instructions! I think I got them but I’m worried since the clips don’t grab that much of the frame. I took it to a local shop and they said everything looks good too. I appreciate this information! If you do happen to know which qclips you used? The ones on the rack are the q70 but I feel like there could be a better fitment?
