So I'm weighing my sunroof options. I really would prefer something see through, hence the plexiglass I cut to try and fit. I have the original sunroof which will leak badly and the tracks will not work correctly, and the tubes it's supposed to drain through are gone. So I think I could do a delete with the stock panel, or I could make panels up and mount the plexiglass and seal it, but I don't know how long it'll last. Any other options for being able to see through anyone else can think of?

The drains and mechanism parts I believe are available to restore the function.

I dont know if you are planning to put a sliding shade in if you make your own panel, but i would highly recommend it. It would be rather annoying to be sitting in summer traffic with the sun melting your face off. Keep this thread updated. I am very curious to see what route you take. If it works out i would probably copy you. I love a good moonroof.
I'm working on a moonroof retrofit right now, will be making more and selling them if I like the results.

If the price is reasonable, I may be interested as well
