Question Can you fit 2 medium 26" suitcases in the boot? [Planning a rental]

I know there have been endless threads on boot space but looking for a specific answer and having a tough time figuring it out from pictures and measurements.

I just want to know if its possible to fit in 2 medium size 26" (26x17x12) suitcases in the boot of the Z4? With the top up is fine.

    TIA.

Since I don't own two 26x17x0 suitcases I put the one I had in the boot and a license plate surround under where the suitcase fit on left side, then moved the suitcase to other side making sure the plate surround didn't move. It appears that two may actually fit? I know it would be better or more helpful if I had two of them. I had wondered this in the past as well so your post just made me want to actually try it out. Hopefully somebody out here has two suitcases this size and will verify? Not too sure if I would try this with two that are hard shelled though? the inner top corners will probably need to be pushed in tight. This is with my 2007, if you're looking to rent a newer body style I haven't a clue what trunk space is like with the foldable hardtop.

I am curious, where can you rent a Z4? Is it an E85 or the new one?

No, you cannot. I own a E85 (Z4 2004) and I couldn't fit two fully loaded 26" suitcases when my mom left for India. I had to take a rental at the last minute so I could carry them. The best you could fit is a 26" and a smaller one. This is for top down and locked.

With the top up, yes you can. You have to tie the top with the base secure and tight so that it does not dangle and let the suitcase spill over on the road risking the vehicles following you.
