Race Suit Alterations

Can any local tailor/seamstress handle alterations to a nomex race suit as long as I provide nomex threading?

You are better off taking it to someone who knows how to work with fireproof gear like firefighter kits. The stitching is not as simple as a pant leg hem.

If you are in NYC, try Rainbow Cleaners in Bogota, NJ. I recently found them and used them. The have a separate business that specializes in firefighter gear and have done race suits for a bunch of others in the area.
