hi everyone, it's my first time posting in this forum, hope i address my question to the right place...
i bought 2011 335xi sedan, and i have a strange issue: when the engine cold and i start to drive, and turn the steering wheel close to the lockup position, the car revs up and down, and it feels like it wants to move forward although i press the brake pedal (it happens when i am doing parking or at traffic light). i have no error codes and no warning massages... the car has 80,000 km on it.
does anyone experience similar issues, or have any suggestions what can cause this issue?
thank you
Hello and welcome to the forum Max! I was able to find some info from another member who spoke to their dealership about this and they mentioned that it's due to the ECU increasing the idle speed to compensate for the power drain of the steering on lock, to avoid stalling the engine. They did do a software update which seemed to make an improvement it but some people still find it noticeable.
