Throttle Issue Question

I was out on the track recently and had an interesting problem.

I just filled up with gas and the car was running fine. I got out on a straightaway and had a loss of power. I pumped the throttle twice and power was back without an issue. This occurred twice more while out on track.

Any ideas?

That's pretty weird. Throttle position switch going bad maybe?

Since this is a fuel injected car, I doubt pumping had anything to do with it. I'd be more likely to say ignition/electronics. Next time it happens, see if the tach dives for 0 or if it holds fairly steady at RPM. If it dives, you lost spark.

Could also be something like oil getting past the rings and getting on the spark plugs, the CPS going bad, fuel pump(s) or filters going out, fuel injectors sticking, vacuum leak, etc.
