When i try to screw my return line on the fuel rail it keeps spinning, I have my return one screwed in I believe I stripped the return? Any ideas/ retap? Its a 98 z3 m44
I don't know your car in particular, but no one else is answering, so I'll try to help . If the line fitting is bad, you need a new one, unless the damage is very minor and you are knowledgeable enough to clean up the threads with a file, enough to feel safe with it. If the female threads in the rail are stripped, I would take it off the car before attempting any fix. At that point, I'd price a used one from a junkyard, look closely at the threads, and decide whether I want to try to fix it. Given that it's fuel, and I've seen a car burn completely due to a fuel leak, I would probably replace both line and rail.
I agree. The rail you would have to replace if the threads are stripped. If it’s the line you could probably have he fitting replace at any hydraulic service company. Or replace the line too.
