    Instrument Cluster illumination

Is anyone else's instrument cluster hard to read when not illuminated during the daytime? I especially have problems when it's cloudy out.

Is there a way to go into the system and make it illuminate when the ignition is turned on?

My Z4 had this problem, I think it's just a "feature" of the Z4 gauges. They have that "soft" text that is the same satin/matte texture as the rest of the gauge, so any light outside reflects and refracts in and around the surface of the gauges, washing out the gauges.

I seem to remember polarized glasses helping
