    Style 5 pic request

Plot twist, 16x8 oem from the e38 7 series. I happen to have a set in my garage, just want to have an idea of what they would look like mounted on a non M roadster with a proper lowering spring. Had a hard time finding anything using the search function and google only brings up the 2 piece 17 style 5's.

I am aware of the offset and center bore difference, thanks

The center bore is the same as the Z3.

If they are from the E38 then no rings. They'll bolt right on.

    E70 X5 not the E53 X5. E53 uses the 72.56mm bore but with larger M14x1.5 bolts, E70 has the 74.1mm hub bore.

E71 has the 74.1mm up front but 72.56mm in the rear.

    E39 74.1mm all around.

As you stated in the original post, the offset is way wrong. Why would anyone have tried these wheels when the fronts will stick out 2" from the fenders?

They would be pretty flush in the rear on a non-M car though.

A quick google search finds Z3s with style 5s mounted, but not the E38 variant

On the topic of style 5's, some local guys said they can reverse mount the faces which would radically change the offset. So the "inside" barrel is now the outside.

I was wondering if this could possibly make them work for Z3M fitment? I know it's not "proper" per se but I love the style 5's and would love to make a set fit properly if for nothing else than some photoshoots

I've searched the style 5s , as I have a set laying around and what I've read is the rear needs 1.5 inch spacers on the rear. Front will poke a hair so you might want to stretch the tire, there is a shop in Michigan that can add 1.5 to the barrel. 250 per wheel I believe. Can't remember the shops name right now

They made the 17" Style 5's in e36/z3 fitment with a 72.56 hub bore. I had e39 fitment rears with the 17x7.5 ET41 wheels up front.

Had them on my car, currently sitting in my basement.

No spacers, just 17x8 ET20 Rears and 17x7.5 ET41 Fronts

I was wondering on the 16x8's simply because I love how the rear of a 930 sits, very functional, I was looking for form over function, I want to stick with a 16inch wheel. Does anyone have any recommendations of 16's that looks good and work for this car?

Style 29 off an e34 could work in 16" size.
