I just purchased a pre owned 2014 m5 and inquired about the 6yr/75k mile bmw extended warranty. I was informed that becuase the original owner never performed the 1200 mile service its not eligible for the extended warranty. Anyone else experience this?
I recently bought a pre owned 2014 750Li and was told the car could not be a certified pre owned vehicle because the owner missed the 1200 mile checkup. They were happy to offer a 60 month up to 100k bmw bumper to bumper for $8300.
Correction: the Bmw warranty can't be extended unless its a certified car. The aftermarket Penske warranty was 12000 for 60k and 60 months. No other warranty company would cover a 750.

Another clause/exclusion the corporate beancounters have come up with to deny CPO coverage,
thereby allowing them a new cash flow stream!
I heard that very same thing from a friend who's a retired Client Advisor from a BMW Center in Northern NJ.
If you're still looking for coverage, give the folks at Autopom a call. They'll cover it all, and their reviews are excellent. If you want contact information for my 'rep', PM me and I'll pass it along.
Bottom line, I have an additional 50k miles (to 78k based on the car now) and 2022 - the policy covers just about everything including electronic modules, turbocharger, heads, trans... the whole shootin' match... for $3400, it's transferable to a new owner, and they even have a payment plan.
