I have a 335xi E90 from 2007/06. The rear window defogger is not working. Can anyone direct me to the location of the relay? Apparently it's identified as K13. The Bentley manual is pretty clear on its location for up through 2007/03, but of course not for my range.

Grr, turns out the relay is built into the junction box after 2007/03. WTF?
Great video on this topic:

I have verified no voltage at fuse F46, so either the K13 relay in the back of the A4010 junction box is bad, or one of the components farther upstream. Anyone been in this boat?
Hi guys, I could use a hand with proper diagnostic technique. I disconnected the battery's negative terminal and removed the glove box, lower trim, and the JBE. According to the video above (and of course the Bentley? circuit diagram to which it refers), the JBE grounds pin 12 to activate relay K13 for the rear window defroster. I have marked pin 12 in the picture below, the one at the bottom left with the little silver sharpie mark on it. If I understand correctly, my next step should be to reconnect the battery, ground pin 12, and see if the relay activates. Should I put the key in the ignition before doing that? Or am I totally off base - would applying power to the system with the JBE removed be a Bad Thing? Thanks!
