Hello - I am a new owner of an S52 swapped E30. The last owner used the 325 driveshaft with a Revshift guibo. I have been told that the other way to approach this is to use an E36 M3 automatic driveshaft and an OEM guibo. My question(s) is this: has anyone used a 1 piece, solid driveshaft and is there anything that would prevent this? I am probably showing my ignorance but am curious as it would eliminate the need for a center driveshaft support bearing which, I believe, is one of the reasons for my vibration at 2500-3000 RPM under acceleration. Thanks in advance for all comments and suggestions.

2 piece driveshafts are necessary due to the length of the driveshaft. If you make a 1 piece, at higher speeds it will flex and vibrate badly or even come apart. BMW would not make a 2 piece driveshaft if it wasn't absolutely required. Lookat some 5 ton trucks. They will have 3 piece driveshafts. For more info do a search for aftermarket driveshaft suppliers. They will have more tecnical info.
