Hey guys I'm having an issue taking the head off of a 98, i got everything off except for one the two small crews in front of the Vanos. The reason I only got one out is because the second one decided to break on me half way, the head of the screw came out as well as half of the screw but the bottom half is still holding the head and I'm pulling the head as hard as I can but that thing is stuck solid to the block. Any ideas on what I could do?

If you are talking about the lower bolts circled in red, there are no threads in the VANOS, head only. It will take some effort to unseat the VANOS from the head.
EDIT
Or are you talking about #'s 9, 10 11?

If the head came off the threaded body probably is not holding anything though it could limit your range of movement when lifting the head. Head might just be stuck a little. Lift straight up. Having 2 people helps.
You said 2. Isn't there 3 of those bolts?
I think the 3rd is back in the vanos tensioner.
Yeah have a 2nd person help you lift the head straight up.
did you get the bolts on the vanos side and the head lifted?
I think he just cried?
