You actually have to pull straight up. It is typically really stuck in there good. It should come up with the clips attached. While the clips themselves slide into key slots in the trim piece, there is not room to slide the trim forward or backwards to separate it from the clips when installed. The clips slide in horizontally to the trim piece, but like I said, you don't slide it to remove, you pull firmly straight up.

Mine slid back towards the rear of each door. I think others are talking about a different piece. Maybe yours had a bit of rust on it preventing it from moving? Mine needed a firm tug to get started and then slid right off.

They also fall off quite easily with age, so a previous owner may have glued them on - like mine did, albeit very poorly.

Hmm: "up", "down", "side". Sounds like free advice.

how is it supposed to attach to the door bottom? my RR trim piece is not loose, but it is incorrectly angled up.

Which is the correct part number for it? several options available...

#2 on Real oem( door side moldings are not slid off but all you do , with your fingers, is get underneath the far right or far left of the molding and pry with your finger tips, between the door panel and molding and LIFT or PRY upwards...Easy too
