    Post What wheels are these?

I've seen these wheels before, but was unable to figure out what wheels these were. I saw this listing and was wondering if anyone here on the E31 forum knew what these wheels are.

    Thanks

These are Style 5 Wheels - The BMW E31 Specific ones are hard to find (they are staggered) I put them on my car after riding around on M-Pars for a while, I like them much better. When I restored my car, I went with a slightly darker grey metallic center.

I'm sorry but those are not style 5 wheels. If you look closely they are aftermarket wheels. They have more of a pronounced lip to them and seem to be one piece or 3 piece with the hardware hidden behind the spokes.

By those I mean the ones in the craigslist post lol

Style 5 is just that - it is the "Style" of the wheel. BMW offered these in different diameters, offset and widths. Some have a soft edged lip, others have a defined lip. If you are asking which specific one these are, the best way would be to ask the dealer selling the car, or look on the reverse side of the wheel itself. They are also known as BBS RS wheels. Here are a couple examples of different BMW Style 5 Wheels:

Correct as above...the wheels in the CL ad are not Style 5's.
Whatever they are, they don't look quite right on that 8er.

There are literally hundreds of BBS mesh wheel knockoffs since BBS first introduced them in the early-mid 1970’s. They have evolved from the 14” 1 piece wheels from the very beginning to the 16-18” 2 and 3 piece rims from the 80’s to the present. Without a clearer pic, it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what brand they are. With their pronounced flat lips and spoke faces, my bet is they are the 1 piece 17 or 18” Rials (German).
