All the best to our California 8ers

Thinking of all our California 8 community. Hope all is ok. Been a tough year with hurricanes, floods, and now fires. Be safe and let us know how you all are doing.

    Thanks!

I know of at least one "8er" living in the "OC" burn area. Hopefully he checks in. It looks like today will be a good day towards containment in Southern California. Hang in there Northern California.

I was on mandatory evacuation with my 840Ci packed with whatever important things I could quickly gather up. (Had to leave the other car behind) I was able to return on Tuesday night, but the fire burned right up to my development on two sides. I was watching my own house on the news as the airplanes dumped fire retardant onto the the roofs. If it had gotten any closer, and I would no longer have a place to park my 8!

Wow, that was a close call!

The "evac" order boundary was just above my old neighborhood which is less than 2 miles for Orange County Fire HQ. My wife said there were a lot of OCFA vehicles covered with retardant.

Zeke is around the corner from me. He may have been part of the last round of evacuations for our area. I have not heard from him, but I don't believe there was any damage in his tract. The fires were moving very fast. I'm surprised there wasn't more damage. Many homes saved due to the fire fighters and residents staying back to assist.
