Put a soft landing pad or something on the floor. And a piece of plywood or the like to protect your privates in case of ricochet. When he says they come out with a bang, he is not overstating.

are there any? For my 02/98 M3 original p/n's are
    Wishbone, left 31122228461
    Wishbone, right 31122228462

No matches when I google for aftermarket ones. The cheapo HAMBURG TECHNIC socalled M3 upgrade kits for $160 for the normal E36 show different numbers for the arms

I believe Moog and FebiBilstein make some as well. I may be thinking of non-M arms though.

Right and the 318/323/325/328, 1995M3 and E30 Forward Lower Control Arms are the same geometry.
The 318/323/325/328 FLCA contain an isolated outer ball joint, different outer diameter than the “M” and E30 ball joint.

There does not seem to be any aftermarket supply for the “M” FLCA except the Meyle which does contain a solid outer ball joint, but the arm geometry only matches the geometry of the 1995M3 FLCA geometry, not the 1996+M3 geometry.
I believe one could use the 318/323/325/328 solid outer ball joint Meyle HD FLCA with the 1995M3 offset FLCA Bushing on 1996+M3.

Looks like there might be a MOOG part as well.

There is a wide variety of vendors offering FLCA replacements for the 318/323/325/328 including (in no particular order) AC Delco, Lemforder (OE), Meyle, Dorman, Febi (Bilstein), URO, Vaico, TRW, MOOG, and others.

I picked up another set of M3 control arms to rebuild. That way I have a spare set and can just swap them out

Lemforder are ideal, all metal construction.

I bent my 12ton hydraulic press arm when doing mine. I have pneumatic press and hid behind my garage while maxing out the 12ton press. It did remove them though with a loud bang! After I looked at the pressing arm and it was bent. Kinda sucks now as anything i press I have to make sure it's going straight.

In all honestly I would just buy the pre pressed arms from the forum members. I think braymond sells them.

    I also prefer pre-pressed arms.
Mitch500, now you have an excuse to upgrade to a 20ton!
