I'm having some floor mats made for my car and I'd like them replicated just like the oem ones. New to the 8s and have never actually seen if they have "BMW" or an "8" embroidered on them. I've tried google images but don't really find anything.
If someone has a set of original 8 series floor mats in any color could you just post some pictures of the detail on them specifically if they have any writing.
I bought a car a while back that I just started working on recently. I had the same idea because mats are in bad shape. Here are photos of the mats i found in my '91. I have included pics of a small rear mat but I am not sure if its for this car. Length with tape is correct but it may not look like it since end was in the air.

Hey, if any of you guys are nuts like me, I took an old floor mat and removed the BMW heel pad part and then glued it to a rubber backing and instant BMW mouse pad.
Awesome I appreciate it. I guess my next question is if anyone knows if the 840Ci had 840Ci sewn on it like the 850i does?
My floor mats only have the number 8. Lower right on the passenger's side and lower left on the Driver's side in a similar position as the photos. If you are sitting in the seat the number would oriented toward the seat occupant i.e., not sideways. Not sure if they are OEM though.
I've seen photos a long time ago go that style with just the 8 on em. I think maybe the later cars got that.
The original early car (90-92) had the "850i" on them, the cars from 93 on, had just the "8" on them. Makes sense, since now they had "CSi's" and "Ci's" and 840's - this way you only needed to produce one mat for all.
'93 850Ci - Mineralweiß Metallic
2001 740iL - Titansilber
ALPINA B7 -Alpinweiß III
...the price of cool ain't cheap!
Here are a couple of shots of mine from my 1991 if you are still interested (the colors are a bit off due to the flash and they need a little cleaning). As far as I know they are original (I have had it since 1999). Yours do look correct (but are a little beat up). The rears are just small ones with no lettering. If you want better pics, let me know.

My car is a 1991 850i, Calypso with Light Parchment interior. I purchased the car from the original owner in July 2011. At the time, I purchased from Gault two new sets of 'original' BMW floor mats to replace the mats that came with the car when purchased new from the dealer in 1991. I've attached photos of the original mats that came with the car when new, and the set I purchased from Gault.
Notice that the original mats the driver's side has a plastic BMW roundel made into the mat; nothing on the passenger side. The 'new' mats have BMW and '8' on the driver's side and only '8' on the passenger side. Hope this helps. /Henry
For what it's worth I have a set of factory Tobago Blue mats with my car, there is no embossed 8 or BMW on them.
Maybe different regions have different designs; mine is a RHD vehicle.
Hi, Mike - Those floor mats are Parchment, not silver / gray. The part number on the photo is 82111466944-

The original mats I removed (and of course, saved) are the same color as the 82111466944 mats. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks everyone got everything I needed. However I found out that Lloyds Matts cannot make me what I want because they are not licensed by BMW to use any of their logos. So looks like I'm just getting plain old black mats for now.
i got no logo on mine...! (maybe EU and USA versions are different)

BMW 850 CSI march 1994 (EU spec), SOLD. https://www.classiccars-forsale.com/...94-bmw-850csi/
BMW 850 CSI november 1994 (EU spec)
Maybe I missed it, but are the 8er OE carpet mats not available any longer in USA or EU??
Any solutions to the NLA mats? Are there replicas available anywhere?
That Nojser guy in Poland or wherever makes some really nice ones but he has since quit. However, I spoke to him a few months ago and he said he was planning on starting making them again later this year. When that is I don’t know.
I’d be in to purchase a set.
I would also purchase a set in case he’s watching this forum for interest

I think I still have his email. I’ll send him one and tell him he’s got at least 5 people ready to buy if he was on the fence about doing it again.
6 people. I'm in
