I've had some weird vibrating going on with my 2012 318d Touring. Started a few months ago while doing my normal commute down an A road doing 60mph. I didn't feel anything coming from the steering wheel, felt like it was underneath. Initially thought I had a flat tyre, but I didn't get any warnings on my dashboard like usual. Pressed the clutch down, still there. I carried on cautiously having no where to pull over and came to a stop at a roundabout. As I was slowing down, there was a distinctive bumping up and down from what felt the right side of the car. Got passed the roundabout it was fine for the rest of the journey. Gave it a quick once over when I parked up, but there was nothing noticeable. It then happened again the next day in the same section of the A road. And then didn't happen again for 2 months.
It's occurred again now. Doing a quick Google, I'm seeing lots of people saying it could be a range of different things. Some people saying they got something fixed and it still didn't sort it. Most are saying their's is occurring under different conditions to mine.
I'm going on holiday in a few days and have a 4 hour drive! I don't want to pay X amount and it not be fixed, and also wondering whether to get it in before I go which may be a struggle. Just some thoughts on causes and costs would be helpful!
Hello and welcome to the forum! Did the vibration feel like a small knock underneath the pedals? Any rise in RPMs and a slight delay in gear shift? I doubt that it's a suspension issue, as that would not go away for a few months and then come back.

Check for a sticking caliper. After a drive see if any of the rotors is excessively hotter than the others.

Car's currently in the garage. They've said that the brake pad is very tight against my rear driver's side wheel, so they're changing the pads and discs which they're confident should sort the issue. It needs doing anyway as pads are 90% worn. But if it doesn't fix it, then it's the calipers.
I had the same issue and it was the right side rear caliper, is now doing it in the front left... I'm replacing it tomorrow. Hope yours was resolved..
