Hello
Thanks for reading this post.
I've been in the market for an SUV on a pretty tight budget ($5000.00). I've read great reviews on the BMW x3 and x5 ... but thought I'd post a message here to get some direct opinions. I figure there's probably a lot of knowledge from current and previous owners of what to look out for, and if it's a good buy.
The BMW x3 I'm currently looking at from a private seller is listed @ $5000 on the dot - Looks very clean - Odometer 151000
I'm not sure the policy here, so I apologize if it breaks any rules to post a link, but here is the craigslist post if you'd like to see what I'm looking at. https://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/d/bmw-xvery-good-condition-5000/6310368807.html
Thanks for any advice!
Nate
Hello and welcome to the forum Nate! The first generation X3s had quite a bit of issues, link below to a thread talking about them. You also should take into account cost of maintenance. Make sure to also get a full PPI report from an independent BMW mechanic if you're going to seriously consider buying it. Best of luck!
