When do you shut down, if you shut down for the winter?
We've got Montana now checking in. Cold up there but she has a coupe, I think. )

Snowing in Denver right now, but I'm expecting warmer weather following this storm. In fact we have an autocross next weekend . Won't winterize until later in the year.

I'll be adding a couple of PSI to the tires in 3 - 4 weeks.

Now, refresh my memory; what is winterizing again? Isn't that when you take the hardtop OFF to drive around in the nice weather?
j/k, I haven't been in Florida long enough yet to not retain chilling memories of snow and ice! I also still drive exclusively with the top down__or completely off, in the case of the Healey__throughout the summer, even admittedly getting caught out by the occasional squall!
I won't be winterizing. Winter in AZ means I can take the top down in the daytime....................
I will reluctantly push the "top up" button sometime mid-December.

Snow tires will go on late next month unless they forecast serious snow/ice before then. No hardtop for me though...
It will be raining water for next week or so and then after that when it is nice weather (or more usually panic snowday) I will drive the car to it's winter hibernation place. But I need to do oil service first and might also wait for new carbon underbody part to finish and install that sooooo lets see might be over 2 weeks too.

I will be De-summerizing soon,
seems like i put the coupe away in the summer. Tooo hot.
Supercharger is sooo much better when its cool out in Miami. You know. Like 84°.
Winterizing here. Taken the hardtop off and stowed for the winter.

I'll bet our member from Yellowknife, NW Territories, Canada has already put his car away!
I once looked up the distance, and IIRC, he was about 2700 miles NNW from where I was then__in Toledo, Ohio!
Can't say that I've seen much from him in quite a while
Must dig out the ice scraper and snow brush. Hmmmm...... for the 14th time
The Z gets put up for the winter at the first sign of the roads being salted. Stays in hibernation until a good spring rain washes the roads clear of salt and sand.

Never understood why people put away a car for the winter. I owned a motorcycle and rode it less in the Winter for sure, but never 'winterized' it. No way I'd winterize my favorite car!
Thanks everyone, so far. My wife and daughter were out in Colorado last week and saw some snow fall in higher elevations. That is what prompted me to ask.
Down here we had a 79 degree dew point late the other night. 68-70 is miserable. Come on winter!

I reverse winterize and just took my Coupe out of summer hibernation. It doesn't like 100+ temps and is most happy inthe mild winters here. And when it does get cool, that's just max horsepower weather!

Our winters are quite harsh and while car can take it, I dont mind. I am in the long game with this car. I want to own it for whole my life so why ruin it on purpose.. And I am already putting every summer about 10000km more mileage. When I bought the car it had 76000, now it has 186000 and 10 years on it will have way more again. So it is good to drive something more suitable for worse half of the year....

If you really love a Z3, you may have to retire yours and buy another at some point. My FIL has owned a C2, C4, C5 and C6 corvette, and each (except the C6) was retired with over 200k miles. The C4 had 260k miles when it was retired. He loves his Corvettes, but doesn't believe in "saving" the car. 70 miles to work every day, cross country trips, snow, salt, rain.
