It's all good.
Like I said before, I was just providing info to the organizers, I wasn't looking for any preferential treatment (maybe if I would have bought a Lambo or Ferrari that would be the case). What these folks choose to do with that info is solely up to them. It is a shame that they appear to be living in a bubble - too bad because the world is bigger than just an isolated bubble in Plano, TX...

Gentlemen -I have been to the Cars and Coffee many times with my 91 BMW 850. Depending on arrival time early allows potential access to lot. I have been there after 7:30 and have been granted access at the Main Gate with the exotics immediately as most of the gates were closed. I believe the gatekeeper who was eager to “get me in there” was aware of the cars historical status, possibly aided by the V-12 on the fender. The attendees were immediately interested as the 850’s are rare, funny I could barely see the other cars due to having a good time answering all their questions. I was one of the four 850’s that were turned away the October 2017 show. Unfortunate, as to having the four cars would have been unprecedented since 1996. Please note we arrived 6:45 that morning and were routed to all the gates but too many cars. Interesting though when I walked up to the gatekeeper to ask entry and let him know about us, did mention monetary advantage with the exotics, I was not interested in the details only disappointment of not gaining entry. Possibly a more acute focus on the more classic variety, after all how many 2017 Mustangs to we need!! You have a great concept, best of luck. -Jay
