S54 into an E46 Touring

Will the non-M diff hold up to NON-racing use against an S54 with manual gearbox?

Here is why I ask. I have a COMPLETE S54 (EVERYTHING including the oil cooler!) and am considering dropping in an E46 Touring. I prefer NOT to use a complete M3 rear subframe assembly because I DON'T want a 3.6x diff ratio. I am going to use a ZF320 so will go with a 3.46 or lower and buy an aftermarket LSD unit.

At least, that's my PLAN.

I don't think you'd have any issues. The S54 doesn't make that much torque. If you're not boosting it, and not dropping the clutch at 5k RPM, I think you'll be fine.
