I still struggle with the cost of a single key or even a pair of keys, matched to a VIN at $500, even from the Dealer.

If this car is the bargain you have stained it is then even $500 for a Key is a no-brainer.

I'm struggling with $500 too but I'd do it if I was sure there weren't other issues like ABS or SRS that I won't know until it's lit up. Might not be a bargain.

It won't be a wink wink job. I'll have to supply the VIN but i don't know what else yet.
I find out today if the car is even still available to me.

I ended up with a quote of $100 for the key but they want registration details and it's not registered.
I don't think the current owner ever registered it.

Who has the title. Is this the result of a divorce and the parties aren't playing nice ? You may be better off walking away who knows there may be 5#s of sugar in the tank
