Sadly, everything is moving over to facebook. Several VERY active forums have all gone bye bye to facebook now. I get the convenience, but the ability to really read and learn and see pics and have build threads and find things that are archived or already talked about sucks. So many times I see the same questions posted and asked every 2 weeks, but I don't blame the posters, like I do on a forum, because of how hard it is. If you miss a post one day you may never see it.

BookFace is the devil of the era. MarkZ should charge $400 a year like photobucket. After a few months, we won't hear about BookFace anymore..

Stay away from FB its a scam to collect your soul. Personally the only social media I use is Bimmerforums and I am only here mostly reading and learning, do wish it were easier to post pics though.
She's built like a steakhouse but handles like a bistro
I'm on all the popular e36 FB groups and they really do suck for the most part..
However with the bf.c android app being down I can no longer post pics or view threads easily without getting on my computer and that really blows ass. I think bf.c is partly to blame with the implementation of panjo and their worthless mobile app.

I know I'm a nobody on here and my words probably hold no weight, but I never understood why the hell it matters how much whp people make. Why does that even matter when most of these hp dyno queens never actually see any real racing? Maybe I'm naive and am a weirdo that likes to race my car instead of brag about hp numbers on Facebook.
Im not on any Book Face groups for my car...I keep that for my personal stuff, family, friends, my Chumpcar team, Etc...Then I Have IG just to look at pics of shitty Stanced E36's, booty, and stupid memes. This is where I come for my Info.. as most of you know 100X more than I do in the realm of BMW's...Although I have been to the factory in Munich...

I'm in the facebook group, and I check the BF.com forums pretty much daily.....back in the day, I spent countless hours here learning about turbo setups and troubleshooting. Now, my car is done from a modification stand point, so I just like to see what new stuff is coming out. I feel like I'm starting to get old for this shit and need to sell the turbo M3 for a new, NA M3...all the stance, burble tune or whatever its called....just not sure I'm into the car scene and the e36 is definitely the civic of 2017

I agree with you. I also know where the market is for a clean, tuned, nicely finished example as I just purchased mine. I feel like I got BPU+Supra Performance for 1/3-Half the price and it’s German. There is no Civic that carries clout and has the performance of these cars when done correctly. Is there a bunch of douchebag stance-queens and ratty kids with e36’s, yes. Definitely. But it will never be like the civic craze of the 90’s. Almost none of those cars have survived or are around now. It’s a combination of perceived value and durability which the E36 has in spades compared to the Honda.

I don't have any more time to waste so it's good I am not on Facebook. I spend too much time here and on M3Post as it is.
I disagree, what's kept the e36 from being completely the new Civic is the general thought that they are expensive to maintain and unreliable. In reality I feel like it's very close, a lot built for show, a couple to actually go fast, yet most Are just ready for the junkyard and crapily modified.
Most people aren't that interested in them because of the perception that they are expensive to maintain or modify, which is partially true. BMW's are not common here but I am seeing more and more trash bucket e36's with spray painted hoods, ebay wings, cut off exhaust, ect... But most I see are just lowered on big wheels and mabey some waste of money NA engine bolt ons. I see more modded E46's now than anything. Some parts for these cars are just insanely expensive, but the biggest benefit to these cars is you can make a really good amount of power while still using nearly all OEM components. The E30 and E36 are one of the easiest and cheapest platforms to make 600 whp from. Even for my purposes once the rear suspension is dealt with its a great chassis. Cheap, very stiff, extremely light and good front suspension which is something you don't get from any American platform, at least without replacing the whole front clip anyway. My next car I want to do a tube chassis E21 to run in the 7's with an LS.
Let's just face the facts/music. We are a bunch if washed up grumpy old men that like to bitch. Sure we get a couple of young pups that look to this section for guidance from those that have been there done that. These are the smarter small % of the kids. We are just washed up haz beenz. If it wasn't the occasional Z we toss into our words, our Kool factor would be in the negativez. We are now the old men that think safety is cool and should be addressed first.
The younger generation now wouldn't take jump shot lessons from Larry Bird cause they can watch YouTube and learn it the right way.
There are an ass load of attempted e36 builds that we have no idea about. Never will. Go on eBay and search E36 turbo manifold. Take a look on how many have sold. Much more than the 20 regular guys on here. That's for shit sure.
Let's face it. We are a joke and don't know a dam thing.
