Question Sludge under the valve cover! What to do?

Good time of a day guys and gals. I am asking about your help. I have 06 530Xi SW. Car has 128k miles on it, I am not the first owner.
I went to replace valve gasket cover today, when they open the cover, here is what I found. Do you you think it's a good idea to clean it (I am talking about using something like Seafoam etc...) or leave it as it is?
This sludge already cause 1 of the valve lifters to got stuck, which caused random missfire and etc.

Not a BMW that's for sur
I've heard good things about the EPR engine flush.

The sludge could be from not using an LL01 oil, and too long OCI's.

Clean it out best you can then start using a treatment like the Liqui Moly Pro-Line Engine Flush to further clean the engine.
