I'm buying an M88 engine and I'm wondering if my strong, smooth, well cared G265 gearbox will be okay with that engine.

Yes, they handle 745is with more torque than that.

M88 out of a '85 M635csi. Bought by my expert BMW/Porsche/Audi/MB tuner. Been sitting under a cover on an engine stand for 2 years in his impeccable shop.
Complete long block. Needs harness, AFM, airbox, ECU and exhaust manifold. Ouch...big bucks for those parts!

I could lend you my AFM just to help you with getting it going as I run the Miller MAF. Wondering what I did with my exhaust manifolds - I'm sure plenty used floating around, but you may as well source some snakes...
