Suzuka, Spa, Canada are my absolute favorite tracks. This being the only figure 8 circuit layout in F1.

Cannot wait for the weekend since Ferrari have said they've repaired Seb's gearbox and fixed Kimi's turbo. Let's hope for hot temperatures.

There are 5 races left in the season and Hamilton is up 34 points. That's an average of 6.8 points per round. Seb basically has to win 4/5 of the next races and hope Hamilton has a couple 3rd places.

He could win all five and have Hammy come second at all of them and he'd win the WDC by one point.

But we know that isn't gonna happen. I'm trying to be sorta kinda realistic.

    yay
Just don't think its gonna happen for Ferrari. And have become less of a fan of them for the Halo and Vettel's whining.

The last time Ferrari won constructors and a drivers championship title was back in 2008 with Kimi. This is the second longest period that Ferrari haven't won either title yet. Last time was between 1984-1998.

    Kimi must do the needful.

I think it's time for team orders and have Kimi block hamy on every lap.

The prancing donkeys are making a mistake. No way that gearbox will survive the race; they can take the penalty and still finish second. Merc takes this 1-2

To add to this, I realized the other day that very rarely does a driver finish a season without at least one DNF. (Yes, I realize Danny Ric did it last year) Lewis hasn't had one yet this season. Statistically speaking, he's not going to finish one of the remaining races. That, I think, would give Vettel a much better chance to retake the lead. Maybe Stroll will take Lewis out on the formation lap?

That's good point actually. Only him and Ocon have not retired all season. Since I love numbers lets do this.

Hamilton: 15 races finished 281 points = 18.73 points per finish

Vettel: 14 races finished 247 points = 17.64 points per finish

Just goes to show how much that DNF can really hurt you.

Did anyone see FP2? Complete deluge. Hoping for a dry weekend so this doesn't become a procession.

If FP3 is anything to go by, Merc has this one in the bag.

No kidding, but credit where credit's due - that was a heck of a lap.

    Surprise, surprise.

Disappointing quali - although we all know that merc thrives with the cooler temps whereas Ferrari is better the hotter the temps get.

Oh, well, half a second from Merc to Ferrari and another half a second from Ferrari to RBR.

Hoping for really hot weather and track temps tomorrow.
