My 2008 535xi had the low boost problem that everyone has described. Dealer suggested replacing vacuum lines and boost valve solenoids $1700+. Indy diagnosed it to be bad turbos after $700 of testing. Text Mon, he said come down Saturday morning. He adjusted the waste gates problem all but disappeared. This Saturday he replaced both Boost valve solenoids. Drove home back to MD like a bat of of hell no codes no errors.
Very reasonable prices. No where near what the dealer or my Indy charged.

$1700 for lines and solenoids?!?!?! That's crazy
1995 M3 S52 turbo (Sold, like an idiot) -----------------------------------1998 M3/4/5 (Hopefully turbo soon, Nope sold this too)..................................E92 335i(God, I miss the E36's)
My final solution for the 30FF problem, I replaced the original turbos with RBTurbos.com ($999). Problem solved, no more errors. However.....an Indy service shop told me my transmission might die because my car had been under powered for so long (195k) and the transmission had adjusted to it. I didn't believe them but 2 weeks after the turbo replacement, motor mounts, and oil pan gasket replacement the tranny went south. Glen Burnie Transmissions (MD) found a used transmission with 80k miles for $2800. Car runs like new but spent more than I had originally planned.
How many miles on the turbos? We bought our 08 535xi 9 years ago with 30k miles and it has 145k now. Turbos still work fine (and I have a JB4), but am thinking of replacing them as preventative maintenance this year.
I had 195k miles on the original turbos.
