Hi,
I found a set of Alpina wheels, size: ET12/24 j8,5/9,5.
Will they fit my E31? If so, what spacers do I need?
Thanks
Yes, and none (well, as far as the offset in concerned)!

Yeah, this is why its so hard to find e31 specific wheels that look good on the car... m pars have a nice look, but still too narrow imo.

What are M-pars??
Can you help me out with the hubcentric rings? Do you have an eBay link or somthing?
Thanks
As above, they will fit as is but the look may be a bit "skinny"
To solve that try 15-20mm spacers at the rear (you may need the arch "rolled" a bit) - will transform the look to something more muscular as the wheels will fill out those flared arches
Update: They were sold. but found a new set.

Will this look weird??
Has BMW e28 printed in it.
8.5J and 10J are good widths....

17 inch wont look funky right??
17" in that width will not look bad, you will need to lower the car IMO. I would throw a spacer on them to make them look wider.
One thing is good, correct me if I am wrong guys E28 hub bore is the same as an 8?
Looks like a set off E28 alpina, it is the preferred classic design.
Look for pics of Jeremy's red 8. He has(had?) 17" Alpinas on it. Look at my avatar if you want to see e31 specific 18" Alpinas.
I like the ride on the 17's better myself - no spacers or rings needed. (as a bonus, the rear fenders rolled themselves after a few months - lol)
245/45
285/40
Michelin's now - not sure about when the pic was taken years ago
Love the black too - got the whole Darth Vader theme going...
I have another tire size question, lol, sorry! I have a set of new wheels to run on my car once I get it running. Fronts are 8.5x18 with a 15mm offset and the rears are 9.5x18 with a 25mm offset with a CB of 72.6mm. I would like to run a 255 up front and a 285 rear but I dont know if that size would clear fenders/susp with a 25mm offset.
The other idea I have would be to run taller tires, maybe a 26.5 or 27" dia front and back to fill wheel wells and for a smoother ride? 27" would only be about a 5% difference with speedo.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks,

Search for Bryson’s threads. He tried every size under the sun. Had 305s or 315s up front, don’t remember which.
Helll - drove it yesterday! This 8er is a "Mirage"....no sighting in many moons!
(Dropping it off with Fab at EF1 this afternoon for some lovin')
OK, I am gonna order the wheels tomorrow. Thinking of selling my original wheels which are in very good shape, wheels and tires.
What do you guys think these are worth?
You can pay me $200 plus shipping to take them off your hands.
