Anyone had any luck with carsoft on the e30? Mine did not detect any modules. On an obd1 e36 it detected some modules but no dme detection.
I know about the stomp test, unfortunately it wasn't an option on my car, I also know about wiring bulb into the ecu but it is a pain to do compared to plugging in a scan tool.
Looks like dis and inpa are only for obd2 cars?
What scan codes pull e30 / e36 obd1 dme codes?
there is no diagnostic software tool that talks to an e30. with maybe the exception being an early peake reader in rare circumstances. e30's were one of the last cars built with the expectation people could diagnose and figger stuff out.
I can read codes with my Peake reader on my 1990 vert.
You get minimal code output with a Peake tool and/or GT1. It'll never be more than a finger pointed in the general direction of an issue, though.
