I purchased a set of wheels that came off of a 2011 F10 535i, come to find out, theirs was a late-production model while mine is an early-production (10/2010) model so their TPMS sensors did not register on my car. Discount Tires even confirmed this for me but they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to buy TPMS sensors from them.
How can I make sure I buy the right part for TPMS? I am getting mixed answers on RealOEM.com and websites - anyone know for sure??? Thanks!

Unfortunately BMW decided to change the TPMS sensors a few times recently. Even some dealerships parts departments have a hard time figuring out which sensors are used as sometimes multiple options come up per VIN using ETK. Truthfully TPMS is kind of a nightmare and once in a while the part number has to be read off the old sensor to ensure the correct new sensor is being installed.
